The board of trustees believe they own the lot where our fire house is (County records indicate that fire dist. #6 owns the lot in question) and has threatened to kick the fire dist. out because the fire dist. will no longer allow us to have meetings there. A statement to this effect was made by our president at a special meeting of the membership on March 31, 2012. Although it is not documented in the minutes of that meeting, the board had the meeting recorded on video. That statement is on the video.

The board has been involved in a public access issue. We have several public access areas which were dedicated to the public forever in 1966. Several members wanted to use these public access areas and clean and maintain them. The board posted a statement on our bulletin board and on their official website: "NO EASEMENT CLEARING HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE TRUSTEES." The board has no jurisdiction in this matter since these accesses belong to the public and the adjoining properties are privately owned. It is clearly a civil matter between the adjoining private property owners and the general public.

We had an embezzlement of a large sum of money occur in the 90's. A judge ordered restitution in the amount of $250 per month which comes to $3000 per year. That money was originally stolen from our water system maintenance fund but the board has been putting these restitution funds (refered to as "The Taylor restitution fund") into our dues fund and spending it however they please.

Our accountant (Jim Weins) failed to pay our taxes and said that he did not want to do them anymore. And yet, the board decided to make him our watermaster as well. This causes us to be concerned for our financial condition as well as our water safety.

Members pay for a year's worth of water in advance. There is no billing cycle on our water bills. This has undoubtably caused some members to be overcharged by a year or more.

The board operates a website, valleyhicommunityclub.org which is payed for with membership funds, but the ownership is registered under secretary Ginger Hall's name rather than Valleyhi Community Club.
